Honor, decency, discretion … Huh, say what?

March 12, 2010

Imagine yourself in the worst crisis of your life. A friend calls you up and says: “I’m coming over. You shouldn’t be alone right now.” So your friend comes over and sees you break down. He puts his arm around you and says: “You’re gonna be all right. You’re gonna make it through this.”

Now fast forward. A year later, you find out that your “friend” has written a tell-all book about you, and he recounts all the things you said in despair.

This is Lloyd Constantine’s new book – Journal of the Plague Year – about Eliot Spitzer.
